Juthour Center was
established in 1997 by a group of leading women of the Nabulsi
community to serve the feminine sector from childhood to old age
.It is intended to promote the woman's status and self esteem .
The development of Palestinian woman was and still a priority ,
so various workshops and seminars are held permanently dealing
with relative issues.
Administration :
The center is
administered by a( 9 ) ladies committee , headed by the chair
.A new committee is elected couple of years by the general
assembly. The committee consists of a vice president , a
secretary, a treasurer and six members .
Finance :
The center is self
sustained by a set of resources :
1. The general
assembly annual fees.
2. Grants and
donations.
3. Profitable
projects carried out by the center.
Aims
:

To provide jobs
for needy and disadvantaged women to earn a descent living.

To develop the
status of Palestinian woman culturally, socially and
economically.

To promote and
preserve the Palestinian folklore .

To modernize
Palestinian traditional life style.

To enhance and
spread the culture of reading among Palestinian people.

To defend the
rights of the Palestinian woman in all walks of life.

To equip the
Palestinian woman with skills necessary for surviving and
standing firm in the worst conditions
Activities :

Ongoing lectures
, workshops & seminars dealing with hot native topics.

Two conferences
were held , the first about woman and changes, the other is
about Realia T.V.

Training courses
in : cloth making , preparing food , computer access ,
internet , karate , hand writing .

An annual summer
club is organized for girls of different ages.

Training courses
about elections controlling .
-
Distributing food
kits and cash support for needy families.
Jobs opportunities

Juthour Center has
started a set of profitable schemes to support families in need
.These projects are :

Embroidery and
handicrafts : more than (120 ) women are taking part in this
project . The center provides row material , pays for each
piece of work. The more we sell , the more needy we support.
Our embroidery is famous for its high quality and sound price.
Any demanded design can be carried out in a short time . We
have customers in U.S.A, Germany, Scotland , Canada and
Austria ,in addition to the Arab Gulf and Saudi Arabia.

Juthour Nursery :
the aim is to provide an ideal shelter for the working
Palestinian woman's kids , and provide jobs for a number of
unemployed women .The Nursery is famous for its best services
compared to other local ones

Body design
training courses for women of all ages.

Young leaders
project : female youth get a full program from the age of 12
till 18 . Communication , dialogue and leadership skills are
taught and practiced.

Juthour Kitchen :
traditional and modern food is prepared in this kitchen upon
the client's demand . A (120) working women staff are
benefited from this project .
